Sanitation Marketing 
GoG-UNICEF SanMark Programme was to implement the supply side interventions for the Rural Sanitation Model and Strategy. The aim of the program was to “implement sanitation marketing (SanMark) in selected districts with the overall goal “to increase access to basic sanitation facilities by households to achieve at least 80% improved sanitation coverage in each district’. The project had an initial coverage of 50 districts from five regions. Rufinlit was responsible for the implementation of two main components of the programme Sanitation Marketing and Sanitation Financing. 
 
Sanitation Financing

• Developed Voluntary Savings and Loans Association(VSLA) for Sanitation leading to the formation of over 5,000 groups in program districts. 

• Developed guidelines and the roll-out of the district sanitation fund (sanitation revolving fund) in selected program districts leading to over 1,000 households acquiring funds to build latrines. 

• Development of guidelines for the development of mobile money for sanitation apps. 
 

Development of Voluntary Savings And Loans Association(VSLA) Linkages Program 
Under the Ministry of Finance’s Ghana Financial Sector Development Project (FSDP) financed by the World Bank, Rufinlit was the lead firm in a consortium of 3 firms: 
• Conducted a study of the VSLA Landscape in Ghana.
• Designed a Village Savings and Loans Associations linkage program that will lead to over 4,500 VSLA members being linked to formal financial service           providers in the ten regions with the lowest financial inclusion rates in Ghana. 
 
Financial Literacy Training and Sensitisation 
Under the Livelihood Restoration Plan (LRP) by QGMI
• Sixty-four households economically displaced by the Phase II expansion and upgrade of the Tamale Airport were empowered to make sound personal and       business financial decisions through financial literacy training. 
Under the CDC Group Impact Programs 
• Twenty car washing bar attendants sensitised on financial literacy themes. 
• Over 300 individuals supported to make sound personal financial decisions through market, church, and vocational and technical school campaigns.
